01 / THE FOUNDATION

Our stories belong
in the future.

The James Polkinghorne Cultural Foundation is a nonprofit cultural institution dedicated to preserving and amplifying marginalized cultural histories, centering Black, Brown, and Queer communities.

Founded by CJ and Rex Polkinghorne, JPCF brings together archival stewardship, art, educational media, cultural convenings, and care-centered experiences. We are building thoughtfully, one gathering and one story at a time.

Our vision: historically excluded communities recognized as cultural architects, with their stories preserved and futures supported.

02 / WHAT WE DO

Four programs.

Different expressions of the same commitment to cultural memory, public learning, and belonging.

04 / GROWING WITH INTENTION

Small gardens.
Big possibilities.

At our Silver Lake home base, we're beginning to cultivate botanical and culinary garden spaces. These early efforts will support seasonal hospitality, ingredient education, sustainable practices, and future cultural gatherings.

Through JP23 – Culture Club, we envision intimate salon experiences, chef-led culinary conversations, and thoughtfully curated cultural visits as the program develops.

✳ In development · Future visits by reservation only, subject to approvals and availability.
